Amanda Boulos

During the siege of Beirut, Lebanon’s Jisir el Basha refugee camp in 1976, my father and nine other collaborators opened a night club in a bomb shelter and called it Club Dynamite. This story was only relayed to my boyfriend a year ago; my father seemed to have forgotten to tell me that he was a hippy and a fighter, a club owner and a community protector.
